How it works
On the application show page within a job, the personal summary section now contains an edit button:

Clicking this will open up this drawer:

You can then save a new value, which will then appear under the personal summary section:

Although it’s not exposed on the interface anywhere currently, behind the scenes we are also auditing the personal summary field. What this means in practice is that we’re able to look-up who has changed the value of the personal summary field, if we need to.
Why should you care?
Mostly this is a quality of life improvement, but here are some reasons for implementing this feature:
- User Satisfaction: Providing features that meet the practical needs of recruiters and hiring managers can enhance user satisfaction and retention.
- Client-Specific Needs: For recruitment agencies, the ability to customize summaries can help tailor the presentation of candidates to specific clients’ needs and preferences.
- Time Savings: Allowing edits to personal summaries can streamline the process, reducing the time recruiters spend repeatedly clarifying or re-interpreting candidate information.
- Streamlined Review: Edited summaries can provide a concise and clear overview of candidates, making it easier for hiring managers to review and make decisions.
- Error Correction: Recruiters can correct any errors or inconsistencies in the information provided by candidates, ensuring the data is reliable.
- Up-to-Date Information: Recruiters can keep the candidate information current by updating summaries with new information obtained during the recruitment process.
- Personalisation: Customizing summaries to reflect conversations and insights gained during interviews can create a more personalized candidate experience.
